Rick Lowe is best known for his works of “social sculpture” which have created new paradigms for artists to engage in collaborative and transformative dialogues in local communities around the world. Paintings and Drawings 2017-2020 was created as a companion to an exhibition of the same name at the Art League Houston (ALH), for which Lowe was named Texas Artist of the Year. The publication focuses on Lowe’s career and includes full color images and a critical essay by Alex Jen.
