Lorna Simpson first became well-known in the mid-1980s for her large-scale photographs examining race and gender-identity. Published on the occasion of a touring exhibition initially presented by the American Federation of Arts, Lorna Simpson celebrates nearly two decades of Simpson's work beginning with her earliest photography and texts and ending with photographs taken in the mid-aughts.
